While for many it can be easy to overlook the culinary achievements that occur in small town, America -they shouldn’t forget that a large amount of the best flavors and most innovative creations in the food world have come from humble origins. Dallas has always been a picturesque town nestled in the heart of Georgia, and while the local dining establishments are a mixture of both old and new sensibilities, the best have always celebrated their Georgian roots in one way or another. Powerful flavors, unique spices, and a friendly disposition to start all under a roof from a Dallas roofing company.
It is easy to find a nice chain restaurant (of which there are plenty in the Dallas and greater Paulding area) of course, but there is still nothing quite like enjoying a meal made by someone with their name on the door.
We are going to present a few of the most original local eateries that you just can’t leave town without trying.
Rodney’s is country barbecue done right. A great menu full of soul food and classic favorites like fried green tomato wedges (with homemade ranch) and all-you-can-eat catfish. The Certified Angus Beef Steaks (get it with a loaded baked potato) is going to fill you up the right way as well. The heart and soul of the menu, however, is the southern smoked barbecue and home-cooked vegetables. And of course, big pieces of homemade pie and cake are waiting for you when you are done.
Rodney’s Bar-B-Que and Catering was opened by Rodney and Tammy Dobson in 2006 and has since included their daughter. This is a family affair and ranks amongst the best examples of local flavors and recipes done to perfection.
Large servings, robust flavors, and welcoming staff. Los Magueys is one of the best examples of taking diverse cuisine and matching it to local mannerisms. The result is a comfortable and delicious experience you will love. They always have some drink and meal special going on, giving you another excuse to fill up in a new a new and novel way. Speaking of which the portions are just what you are looking for. Big.
Georgia’s take on original Chicago cuisine. This is also a local homegrown “fast food” restaurant that is nothing but quality. Using Vienna products like those used in Chicago, you would be hard pressed to find a better hotdog in town. The burgers, Philly cheese steaks, and sandwiches are also fantastic. Chicago natives are always quick to say how surprised they are by the quality and authenticity! This really is fast food done Dallas style.
1OAK is proud to be one of the top-rated roofing companies in Dallas, GA.
