There are indoor and outdoor fields and courts to ensure all the sports can be played all year around. A fun fact is LakePoint is the training complex for the Harlem Globetrotters who are famous all around the world. Any athlete, trainer, or coach will fall in love with this park.
Allatoona Pass Battlefield is a different type of field. It is one of the most significant battlefields in the state. The Civil War was fought on this battlefield. Out of the 5,301 soldiers fighting, nearly 30% of them lost their lives on this field. Allatoona is filled with history. It would be a great trip for any students, history-lovers, or families of the soldiers. The battlefield will provide a learning experience while giving some emotional memories as well.
