Fun Facts about Euharlee
Euharlee is one of the largest cities in Bartow County, while only being home to two schools and four churches. The city of Euharlee was settled in the 1840’s after the Burges Mill was constructed on the creek. Euharlee still has many historic buildings of its past, dating back to the 1800s, including the famous covered bridge responsible for the city’s slogan.
The Euharlee Covered Bridge, is the state’s oldest remaining covered bridge and is a protected historic site. While you can still visit the bridge, Euharlee has many other places to see as well, such as the Blacksmith Shop, Black Pioneers Cemetery, Euharlee Welcome Center & History Museum, Grist Mill Ruins just to the side of the covered bridge, and the Granary.
