If you’re in the mood for a light jog, Swift-Cantrell park is your ideal location. Running along outside of the park is a one-mile asphalt trail winding beside trees planted along much of the park’s perimeter. On the interior is a half-mile trail easily accessible from the parking area and ducking through tree stands and around the skatepark. Use that running time to train up for the annual Swift-Cantrell Classic, a 5k that begins at the Kennesaw Baptist Church, flows through Swift-Cantrell Park, and finishes downtown. The race has been run since 2009, and includes breakfast refreshments after runners and friends have met to celebrate the race’s finish.
To complete your fitness workout, the park boasts the Life University Wellness Station, with a body-weight training system and general fitness program in place.
