Outdoor Activities in Kennesaw

Looking to take the dog for a playdate? They’re welcome in community parks, so long as they and their owners follow the posted rules. They’ll likely enjoy playing at Frank Boone Dog Park, a 1.4 acre off leash area in Swift-Cantrell Park. The owner/handler needs to be 18 and please don’t bring more than three pups per visit.

Skaters encounter restrictions on where they can practice their art in so many places, it’s really a necessity for communities to offer a skatepark- and Kennesaw does! Free to use, the concrete park is 40,000 square feet with a flow course, bowl, and skate plaza.

Hikers far from the Appalachian Trail can enjoy a short hike through the town’s many trails. Winchester Forest Park Trail is found to the north on Lindley Lane. While there are additional trails, they all connect up and one could easily hike from the Winchester Forest to Deerfield Drive and all the way down to Whispering Lake and Whitfield Place.
